Prior Action

a) Perform the required action in advance, either fully or partially.

b) Pre-arrange the objects so they can come into action at the most convenient position and without losing time.
 

EXAMPLE:
  1. To increase the intensity of a gas flame, the gas is pre-heated to 600°-700°C before entering the burner.
  2. To detect leakages of odourless and dangerous gases, a harmless but bad-smelling additive is introduced, which can be detected even in extremely low concentrations.
